I've only just popped on and couldn't wait to hear from you @Captain24
I'm sorry things are not too good at the moment. What's happening or not happening? I read that you fell exhausted.
Have you heard of the spoon theory?

It's 42 degrees here @Captain24
I'm home alone. It's soooo nice. I slept until 12:30pm..... I feel like I've caught up on 2 weeks of sleep.

Thanks for thinking of me.
I’ve used more spoons than I started with @tyme.
I have pushed through and done so much. It’s left me with absolutely nothing. I’m totally depleted.
42 sounds so good but I guess you aren’t funding that! 😜
Im so glad that you have finally been able to get some sleep. It must feel good and deserve it. I’m sure the silence is golden!

Actually, I take the 'alone' back. My mum is now home.
I'm sitting at the table doing my work and my mum is sitting next to me - she has not stopped talking. Literally.... oh well... this is her first and last time this holidays to talk at me. Don't ask me to summarise what she's saying because I actually don't know. lol. Poor mum. That's what parents are for. Everyone else has gone to my cousins for a get together and have fun in the pool. We are heading off tomorrow late morning. I'm looking forward to the scenery, but I'm not looking forward to the company and living in the same house as the others lol.
Spooons? Maybe, from tomorrow, consider how many spoons you have and use them accordingly. It's so important to use only what you have. And, on top of that, consider what can increase those spoons as well. Can you think of what helps you gain spoons? @Captain24

I like how you said ‘talking at me’ @tyme. Are your parents going too? Or is it just your sisters?
Just emailed and nod at your mum.. that’ll keep her happy!
You must really want some space from them. Just remember kayaking off!
I need to take better care of myself. Self care will earn more spoons I guess. A proper nights sleep will also help.

Guess what? She's still talking since the last message I sent. Now she's moved from sitting next to me to across me so she's looking at my face lol. I'm just doing work here while she's talking lol @Captain24
Look, I love her. She's a mother lol
Yes, my parents are coming away with us too. So it'll be myself, my younger sister's family (5 people), my elder sister's family (4) and my parents (2). So it's 12 of us in the ONE house (and the river).....
Self-Care. What do you do for self-care?

Hahaha.. now you have to watch your facial expressions! @tyme.
She is probably happy having you to herself. Just think. At least you have us to distract you.
While it’s nice to be away you will be looking forward to going home. 12 people in one house sounds like a lot. At least the kids will be having an awesome time.
Mums getting a bit naggy with me lately. She is pushing the boundaries. But she has had enough of my brother so I guess she just has me.
I guess self-care could be just going a little easier on myself. Which even though I have pushed myself well past my limit today. I’m not beating myself up for not completing everything.
Also just taking some time out. Lego… diamond art…

Yep! You guessed it! She is STILL talking.
Lol, it's funny that your mum is nagging you more now that your golden bro has been annoying lol. At least, deep down, you really care for each other, and you all know that.
You may need to print a copy of the spoon poster to remind you of self-care every day. Remember, you can only start with a max of 12 spoons, and sometimes, you start with less spoons if it's a difficult day... adding to that, you can add to the spoons throughout the day.
Even chatting here can add to your spoons.
