Something’s not right

I can’t cope

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @Captain24 I know that feeling well…. It can be unsettling at times. Hoping that your walk with the dog in the sunshine is helpful.

thinking of you 💕

Re: I can’t cope

The walk was good @Bow . I listened to the river flow and the birds chirping.

I feel a little more grounded and a bit refreshed.

That numb feeling is really unsettling it usually the calm before the storm. Hopefully if it is I have the strength to deal with it and not let anyone down this time.

Re: I can’t cope

Hi @Captain24 !

I made it here at last! It's taken all night LOL. I had every intention since I first logged on!

Soooo, it sounds like you are 'vanilla' today 🙂 I like the sound of that.

Are you on new meds now? I know you were told to stop the other meds. Does that mean you've started the new ones?

Re: I can’t cope

All good @tyme

I like the ‘vanilla’ too. I’m going to steal it. 😆

Yeah I started an anti-psychotic last night. The type of med sounds very daunting! It’s suppose to help me sleep better and if I get an elevated mood during the day I’m suppose to take it. Just not sure what happens if I have a decreased mood other than trying to manage it myself.

Feel free to delete anything in appropriate!

Hope your day was good

Re: I can’t cope

I take anti-psychotics... I don't have psychosis though. I was told different doses are for different conditions. Higher doses for psychosis. @Captain24 . So yeah, the name might sound scarier than what it really is. You can speak to your dr next time. Mine helps me sleep, which in turn helps the mood, which in turn helps me function!

Win-win 🙂

Re: I can’t cope

No @Captain24 . Actually, that's

win-win-win

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah I have a few questions written down for my gp app next week. @tyme .

At this stage my elevated moods haven’t reach the psychosis stage. But I have done out of character things during an elevated mood.

I do feel better actually getting a good sleep. Next week will be a test as I have juggle the meds and shift work. It will just be trail an error until I can find what works best.

Yes I do have the music blaring if the am/fm radio works! I don’t do audiobooks or podcasts as I loose focus on what I’m listening to. I have a real problem with maintaining focus on a lot of things.

Re: I can’t cope

Good that you've written down questions @Captain24 .

Shift work will definitely be tough. I can't even suggest having a regular schedule and time to take your meds! That's definitely one thing that kept me - routine, schedules, medication at a certain time....

I think it'll be good to raise it again with your pdoc next time. It's a tricky one.

Re: I can’t cope

I'm going to start winding up for the evening. But I'll see you around on the weekend sometime @Captain24

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks @tyme

Shift work will be a struggle especially until I’m completely stable. I’m only on them for a month and then Im not on anything at all for a month! Then I see her after that. But I have to just focus on the now.

Have a great night.
