Hi @Bow!! 

I am okay!! Been busy busy and had lots going on here at SANE with a conference and everything! Plus some swippy swappy changes to our roster, so you'll be seeing more of me over the weekends now 😊 

How was the move?!

Oh @Jynx !!! I am so glad to see you! Missed seeing you about the place. Huge hugs for ya that are a tiny bit tight and a big bit long!

ohhh changes…. And busyness. I guess that is good yeah? And your absence wasn’t cause ya crashed and needed rest. 

move is complete! Old keys handed back. Now just to unpack, sort and make space for stuff. 
Our move was pretty hectic though. Hired a van for 3 days and did what felt like a million loads of boxes and stuff. Then removalists came on the Sunday and did all our furniture. Cranky unfriendly guys they were. Felt like a hassle and an inconvenience for them. Tried to be friendly with them, smile, ask how they were. But nope.  And they kept putting stuff in my van and then left me to take it out at the other end! Oh… and we had the lawn guy come, it was the only day he could do it cause it had been so wet, so we had the removalists and lawn guys at the same time. Grass clippings blew up onto their truck, the tyres, couple of their moving blankets, oh my gosh. Not happy. Should have seen the look he gave the lawn guy. And then he got his little blower vac and blew the grass off his tyres! His tyres! 

Anyways… upstairs is looking and feeling like a home. Downstairs..,, a huge shambles. We got too much furniture! But trying to get it all organized. 

then I got sick again. And I got a red puffy eye. And feeling fairly miserable today. My body is screaming at me to take a rest yeah?? 

you liking the changes to your roster, do you get much of a say? And how was the conference??

Oh yikes, sounds like a whole rollercoaster of stress! Thank goodness it's all done and you can focus on decking out the new space!! 

How goes the arranging of the new place? 

Rest is probably needed aye!! Pretty sure you're allowed a LOT extra after a move!! 

And yeah I got choice!! They look after us here hehe. It will be super helpful for me in terms of having more time on weekdays to do all the silly little adulting tasks that I am ever so behind on!

Arranging is going ok… slowly too @Jynx  been a lot of expectations put on me to get everyone else sorted. Find boxes and move furniture for everyone else. Been trying to take a bit of time to find my own stuff and sort that. 

downstairs we have a double garage and this huge under house area that’s been made liveable. So I’m setting up my arts and craft area and a little chill zone. Daughter will have an art area too. Will eventually set up a space for kittens too. 

we went to ikea this morning. Got a heap of junk. We had ikea meatballs for lunch and then went to a big salvos store.

@Bow oh dear - it's not so bad to be helping but it is always nicer when we're asked, instead of it being assumed we will be on top of it all hey. 

Wow cool, sounds like you've got a lot more room to spread out!! How is your D going, she liking the new digs?

D is liking it I assume. New rules here! But I mistakenly allowed her to take a drink other than water to her room….. ‘I’ll be careful…. I’ll bring it out as soon as I’ve finished..’ tuck her in last night and what’s on the floor? Liquid slushie! 🤬 … ‘I didn’t do it…. I don’t know how that happened..’ grrrr 

she has drove me cranky today though. Whining all day. Are we finished yet? Can we go home now? So after we have done this we are going?  Argh. 

what did you most enjoy about the conference?

@Bow hahaha kids are funny when they think that we can't put very obvious pieces of evidence together 🤣 

Noooo the pestering is the worst lol. I assume it's when they're overstimulated, my nephew definitely gets like that when he's on his way to a meltdown. 

I think it was getting to meet everyone! Quite a few people I'd never met in person before, so it was cool to be like, amongst the vibes, you know? And yes I can report back that the vibes are GOOD!! Some very talented and passionate people here, hehe we're in good hands 😊

She thinks I’m dumb @Jynx ! I know exactly when it happened…. When she threw herself on her bed and pulled the covers over herself to sulk about not being allowed to wear flip flops to the theater! 

She just wanted to get home so she could video call her friend and play games together!

that’s really cool. Getting to put a face to a name. When I was working back before my D we had a couple of big regional conferences and award nights. It was cool to meet people that I’d spoken to on the phone… or emailed a million times.  And yes we are in good hands indeed…. Including many good hands here amongst the forums like you!
