Re: Women's health (TW)

@Glisten I'm wondering what the male equivalent is...

Apparently labour is like kidney stones

Re: Women's health (TW)

@balance37

Been thinking of you, how are you going?

Re: Women's health (TW)

I'm currently on a waitlist for a day surgery with a gyno. So it's the unknown at the moment, I guess. And how long the wait is (public health) - I suspect maybe 5 or more months. My psychologist has already sent a letter to the hospital about what I may need in terms of trauma informed care after the procedure. I don't think it will help too much, but it's nice to know that she cared enough to follow up already.

Thanks for asking 🙂

How are you?

Re: Women's health (TW)

Hey @avant-garde , the post above was for you.

Re: Women's health (TW)

Thanks @tyme

@balance37

I'm doing ok enough, the only other female in the back section of my complex moved out so now I'm surrounded by men...

Still waiting on specialist appointments...

Re: Women's health (TW)

@avant-garde Ugh to both of those for you!

Do you know who will be moving in as yet, or is it up for rent or otherwise currently?

Re: Women's health (TW)

@balance37

I did write a response...

I don't know who will be moving in, it is currently available to rent when the property manager catches up on everything I suspect we'll get someone

(and everyone, sorry i cant go back to check who our lovley people are that have joined in)

hi ladies,

im wondering what you guys might suggest in relation to being checked out for womens health but everywhere costs money

my gp costs money, the womens health nurse at the clinic costs money and my gynaecologist who would be the best one to see is also expensive.

i cant afford it. going to hospital isnt an option and they wont do anything for me as these are chronic conditions

i reached out the womens health near me that is bulk billed but they arent accepting new clients either or wont see as a one off

what would you ladies suggest

Re: Women's health (TW)

@outlander

hmm... they may not be your usual GP, but there are ones around that bulk bill just as a starting point to get advice?

Or could be worth giving health direct a call to get their opinion?

Otherwise could you go and ask the women's health for a referral somewhere if they can't take patients, where can

Re: Women's health (TW)

i dont have any bulk billing gps in my area unless theyre kids under 16 or you have a pension card. @avant-garde

health direct told me to see my gp as its not an urgent case but i havent tried asking the womens health clinic for another referral to somewhere else.

i might just have to pay to see my gynaecologist and urologist

endo pain mixed with infection symptoms hurt 😓
