Re: Share a cuppa?

Thanks @Abner I'll check out Vet Supply for a joint supplement.  (My boy is a tripod)

Re: Share a cuppa?

Thanks @Former-Member I hope you have a nice evening too. Did you have a good day?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Dimity my day was ok. Nice quite morning and work in the afternoon.  How about you ? 😊

Re: Share a cuppa?

Pretty good thanks @Former-Member , trekked to specialist then had a nice walk. There's a group of juvenile magpies that have settled here, they're getting used to me and amble off rather than flying away.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hey @Dimity I love magpies that's where my name (pseudo) comes from. I have a family of magpies at my house too. They have been here many years and if I leave the back door open they used to come inside. I keep doors shut now as I have an indoor 🐈 called Millie.

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Former-Member there was a pair of magpies here for many years but unfortunately they passed, and it's been maybe 3 years since we've had any. I'm hoping some of the juveniles take up residence.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Dimity just checked the life span of a Magpie apparently 25-30 years. I hope your  juveniles take residence.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Wow @Former-Member that's a long time. But my pair were here maybe 20 years or more. Towards the end Mum Magpie struggled a bit with a lame leg but still managed to raise young ones. There's a pair of masked lapwings nearby too but they've never bred successfully,  there's not enough open space. I think they've been here a very long time too.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Dimity I thought masked Lapwings lived near the beach. I guess that's why they like open spaces

I'm lucky in that there are lots of native trees and plants where I live attracting many different birds - cockatoos, honey eaters, and gorgeous tiny little birds - pardelot I think.
