Big relief in one way and sadness in another way 

Mum wanted to be cremated and no service so I am doing her wishes 

But my cousin is organising a family lunch for her which is OK to me

(I cared for my great aunt till her last days🌺)

Do you have someone to stand by and support you as you go through these things? And that sounds like a nice thing to do, having a lunch together xx

It is hard to do a loved ones decision and the family expectations of what you should do 

But I am glad my aunty ( mum's sister is backing me)

And I am glad my cousin is doing the family lunch

Expectations can be so hard to contend with @Shaz51. I am sure you will make the right decision, and remember it's okay if not everyone is happy - we can't please everyone hey.

The hardest but greatest thing to do is follow wishes @Shaz51 💜

The special and heartfelt focus here is doing what your mum requested, and not so much doing what other people want... I found that when people wanted something different, it was a reflection on their grief, and what they felt they needed to cope, now and into the future. However, this is about your mum, what she wanted, and that honoured place of trust that she gave you to kindly carry out her last, dearest xx
