Surprisingly, I am feeling buoyant this moment because I've rested but it is testing.. @Oaktree . I cannot imagine how I'd feel in your shoes in regards to the unopened letter you sent. Hope you can bounce back even stronger from this experience.

@Oaktree , I'm sorry to hear about the letter. I can see how hard it would've been to get it. Do you think your mum sent it back or they have left? @Oaktree 

@L-B I"m sorry to hear how are things have been. I know first hand what it must feel like to know your friend has a terminal illness. I was told a few weeks ago that someone I know very well and see every week has got stage 4 cancer which has spread everywhere.

It's hard. What can we do but just be here for each other?

Obviously I don’t know if my Mum received the letter or if they have moved. Either way she never read it. I can say that I tried.

My friend was invited to a support group where their next discussion topic is 'end of life'. They said they were not ready @tyme and are struggling with the treatment side effects. I listened actively and even responded to their humour about the situation with some lightness. They said they don't want to fight with endless rounds of chemo. I understand that. I asked them to keep in contact during this time when they decided to end the conversation. Sorry, it must be really tough for you @tyme as well.

I remember listening to someone on talk back radio a few years ago who mentioned that 'end-of-life' is not spoken about as much as it ought to @Oaktree @L-B . I can be so hard, but it's also important. 

I've been looking at burial plots for myself. I was thinking of getting a few plots for anyone who wants them. I've got one at the moment, but I want a different location.

I know I'm not really old old... but just things to think about so I don't leave anyone with stress after. Ive also put my name down for organ donation... 

So yeah... strange topic of convo, but we just never know with sickness or injury will meet us.

Hi @tyme  and @Oaktree , interesting re: searching for burial plots. We never know what's around the corner which reminds me to make the most of life's situations.

I was having a burial plot discussion with someone only 2 days ago. He wanted me to witness him signing his will so we discussed burial plots. Then I have to get my will done @L-B

I understand this @tyme . When a friend of mine nearly died a few years ago, I had all of that organised. It was a reflective process. Now it's all in place I don't think about it much.
